CURLING DAY IN CANADA COMMITTEE MEMBER

DESCRIPTION:

Melfort had been named host of the 2024 Curling Day in Canada festival to be held February 24, 2024.  TSN and Curling Canada will be here and hundreds of thousands of people will be tuning in live for the special broadcast.  A variety of fun activities will be planned in the city and the curling club to celebrate and showcase our sport of curling.  We require volunteers to be committee members and leaders to help us plan this exciting event!

 

TIME COMMITTMENT:

Dependent upon position.  As much or as little time from now until the event in February 2024.

COMMUNITY CHAMPION

DESCRIPTION:

Curling in our community is growing in popularity and we are looking to further this growth by introducing more people to the great sport of curling; but we need your help!  We are recruiting a part time position to promote curling in the community and attract new members of all ages and skill levels into our club.  The position will begin as a part time, single year position but with plans to expand and extend with proof of success and value-added to the club. 

 

TIME COMMITTMENT:

A few hours per week on your own time throughout the curling season from now until March.  Self-directed and results oriented.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

DESCRIPTION:

The Melfort and District curling club would not be successful without our dedicated volunteers who assist with everything from planning events to bartending to ice making and removal.  However, we are always on the lookout for additional help and would love to have you come and offer your skills to help the club succeed.  Here are a few examples of opportunities we currently have open.
