EMPLOYMENT & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Join the Instructor Team!
Curling instructors are fun, outgoing people who can speak to groups and have a great sense of humour. You are responsible for teaching the basics of curling to guests at curling events, including corporate parties, learn-to-curls, school groups and private rentals. The Melfort Curling Club is forming an Instructor Team comprising of up to 10 individuals who will be available for hire or volunteer opportunities.
No minimum hours. You choose if you want to participate in or decline instructor requests as your time allows.
We are opening a new paid position and looking for someone to take charge of designing and delivering introductory pathway programs and expanding participation in curling. If you possess strong leadership, communication, and entrepreneurial skills, join our non-profit organization!
Hours and time commitment are flexible, but we will require a minimum 200 hours during the curling season devoted to the role.
CURLING DAY IN CANADA COMMITTEE MEMBER
Melfort had been named host of the 2024 Curling Day in Canada festival to be held February 24, 2024. TSN and Curling Canada will be here and hundreds of thousands of people will be tuning in live for the special broadcast. A variety of fun activities will be planned in the city and the curling club to celebrate and showcase our sport of curling. We require volunteers to be committee members and leaders to help us plan this exciting event!
Dependent upon position. As much or as little time from now until the event in February 2024.
The Melfort and District curling club would not be successful without our dedicated volunteers who assist with everything from planning events to bartending to ice making and removal. However, we are always on the lookout for additional help and would love to have you come and offer your skills to help the club succeed. Here are a few examples of opportunities we currently have open.
